Three-Way Mirror

Sweetness of morning –

Awaken to dawn

Fresh face.

Wonder full,

Wistfull assurance.

Confident

Clouds will give way

To

Clear Sky.

Her Baby

His Wife.

Co-Dependence

Looks out a dusk

Through lenses experiences-lenses tired

Sweet Baby’s Breath –

Awake through midnight

Witness of confidence,

Wonder.

Hand held.

Frightened by dawn.

Her Mommy.

Stuffed

By: Jennifer Moulton-Burrus

Why do I have to be so soft?
So sweet
And round and stuffed?
Yes – stuffed.

The others run
And play
And tease
And hop.

I sit and wait,
Wait for a touch,
A smile,
A sense of wonder,
Nighttime to fall,
When I am needed.
Needed for quiet comfort.
Needed for listening,
For watching
And understanding.

I want someone to listen,
To Watch,
To understand,
To know.

To Notice.

I am here.

I want to run,
And tease,
And hop,
And play.

Like the others –

The ones who aren’t stuffed.
