Nanobiotechnology
Summer Camp
2005![]()
The nanobiotechnology summer camp exposed Norristown high school students to the different applications of nano and biotechnology. Students did experiments in microbiology, biotechnology, and chemistry. The use of forensics evidence were shown with blood typing and DNA analysis. Mathematical simulations and internet exploration displayed how technology is used in scientific fields. Students were treated to a conference call to NASA and the applications of nanotechnology that they are currently using.
Day 1
Blood typing with Debra Eckman
PhotosDay 2
Field trip with Bill Brownlowe to Drexel University. Activities included scanning electron microscope, infrared spectroscopy and fiber spinning.
