| I feel very fortunate in being able to combine two things that I really enjoy doing to serve society in a positive way. Nursing provides the opportunity for me to use my caring and compassionate characteristics in health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration to benefit others. Teaching gives me a chance to share my knowledge and expertise with others as I continue to learn. Borrowing words from an old Christian song, "If I can help somebody as I pass along, If I can cheer somebody through a word or song, If I can keep somebody from going wrong, then my living shall not be in vain." |
