My Background
I am a registered dietitian with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences from Drexel University and a Master of Science degree in Health Education from Saint Joseph's University. I have taught numerous college courses in nutrition and health areas and am beginning my third year as an adjunct faculty member at MCCC.
My fifteen years of work experience have included clinical nutrition assessment responsibilities in hospital settings, corporate wellness program planning and implementation, writing assignments for nutrition related websites, community nutrition and health programming and individual nutrition counseling. I strive to incorporate many work experiences into the courses I teach because I believe it greatly enhances the learning experience.
My goals as a faculty member are to make learning about nutrition and health issues meaningful and applicable to real life and to bring to the classroom a lively, dynamic interactional experience between students and myself.
