Lab data: Pap smear (looking for balloon cell), biopsy and culposcopy. Usually diagnosed on appearance alone. DNA hybridization (Vira pap) has a high specificity and sensitivity to HPV.
Acetic acid applied to the cervix and vagina will reveal lesions.
