Genital Herpes
Caused by 2 different but related forms of the herpes simplex virus.
Symptoms may be absent, but typically a primary outbreak is extremely painful due to lesions and systemic involvement.
Elimination may also be painful.
Subsequent outbreaks may be heralded by a tingling sensation, leg or buttock pain called the “podrome”phase.
