Emergency delivery
Place baby on mother’s abdomen.
Check for signs of placental separation.
Check mother for excess bleeding, massage uterus.
Hold placenta as it delivers.
Cut cord when pulsations cease if sterile scissors and cord clamp are available; if not, wrap babe and cord and placenta up.
